1. Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, ethical and sustainability standards.
2. Negotiate contracts, pricing and payment terms with suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial agreement.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals.
4.Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities and pricing fluctuations.
5. Monitor and analyze inventory levels, demand patterns and consumption to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
6. Implement and manage procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
7. Manage supplier relationships including communication, performance evaluations, issue resolution and continuous improvement.
8. Continuously evaluate procurement practices to identify cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements.
9. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance metrics and cost savings to senior management.
10. Implement sustainable and socially responsible sourcing practices while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 6+ years of purchasing management experience in FMCG/Retail.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles and best practices.
- FMCG/Retail market expertise with local supplier knowledge.
- Experience in sustainable and socially responsible procurement.
- Proficient in budgeting, cost optimization, negotiation, and supplier management.
- Analytical with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
